Weingartz, leader in outdoor power equipment sales and service is in need of Service Coordinators. This position will assist the Service Technicians by staging work areas and following up on service orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Stage equipment for service techs throughout the day
  • Prepare the triage process for both morning and afternoon
  • Check equipment in and tag with red ribbon
  • Unload and load equipment that customers are dropping off for repairs or picking up
  • Keep staging areas for equipment organized
  • Thoroughly clean equipment prior to it entering service department (This can happen at the red or blue stage)
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, improve and promote quality, and monitor own work to ensure quality
  • Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly

General Requirements

  • Service experience ideal but not required
  • Hi-Lo operator experience
  • Must continually be able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs
  • Must have the ability to multi-task

  • Assembles and tests operation of new equipment to prepare for sales
  • Instructs other technicians on proper repair and assembly procedures as directed by Service Manager

 Equipment we sell and service are Stihl, Redmax, Echo, Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, Kohler, Honda, Toro, and Billy Goat to name a few.

Years of Experiecne: 3

Education: High school graduate or equivalent

Skills

  • Electrical diagnosing and testing.
  • Experience in top-end rebuilds, short blocks, carb rebuilds, power washers, water pumps, and generators.
  • Must own tools and testing equipment.

Preferred

Skills: Plow install experience a plus.

Technology: EETC Certified a plus<br> Engine Manufactures certification a plus

Overview

Manages the operations in the customer service department and service repair department and directs activities of customer service representatives and service technicians by performing the following duties personally or through staff.

Required Experience:

A minimum of two years experience in management; Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required; a minimum of two years experience in technical service – experience in outdoor power equipment is beneficial; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Bottom line responsibility for all parts and service operations.
  • Leadership, management and accountability for customer service and shop staff.
  • Hires, trains, and evaluates service technicians and customer service representatives.
  • Works with and advises service staff on the repair of equipment and ensures compliance with prescribed procedures.
  • Answers questions and discusses issues with customers regarding services and escalated customer service issues.
  • Maintains service department records.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and complies with safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers and management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages 8 to 15 customer service and service department employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
