Cub Cadet RZT SX zero turn riders are designed for both residential homeowners and professional landscapers. With high-performance decks and ergonomics that reduce vibrations and fatigue, these mowers are built to deliver quality cut and smooth maneuvering while delivering an unbeatable level of comfort to the operator. Cub Cadet zero turn riders are designed to with lap bar and steering wheel control, and four-wheel control to deliver unmatched handling and stability on hills.
The Cub Cadet RZT SX series zero turn riders have a steering wheel not typically found on most zero turns, but Cub Cadet incorporated the two hydrostatic steering pumps with linkage to the front steering wheels. The advantage of this is you get all the benefits of the zero turn rider such as the exceptional maneuverability when going around obstacles in your yard. The RZT SX zero turns with the steering wheel drive more like a conventional tractor so it’s very easy to operate, and more importantly it’s much better on hillsides.
One of the inherent problems with a lap bar machine that does not have any steering on the front is they tend to want to wander down a hill. These RZT SX mowers give you much better stability so if you have any hillside applications this might be a good option to look at.
The Cub Cadet RZT SX zero turn riders replaced the Cub Cadet RZT S series mowers. The mowers in the SX and S series are basically the same mechanical machine. With the SX models, however, Cub Cadet cleaned up the operator controls, cleaned up the foot pedals, and provided a cleaner design on the dash panel. Cub Cadet made LED headlights come standard on the RZT SX mowers.
Cub Cadet RZT SX zero turn riders have tilt steering which makes it very easy to get on the machine. The foot pedals on these mowers allow you to set the steering column to the desired height. These mowers drive more like a tractor. Use the foot pedal to control the mower’s speed. The more you push down on the pedal the faster you go. The reverse pedal is on the side of the drive pedal and there is a brake pedal on the mower in case you need to make a sudden stop.
The RZT SX models have cruise control. If you have a lot of straight open mowing, set the pedal, push the foot pedal down to set the cruise, and a quick tap on the pedal removes the cruise control. All your controls are off to your right. The height of cut is controlled with one lever and it’s clearly marked so you know what position your height of cut is at.
Cub Cadet RZT SX zero turn riders come standard with armrests for comfort. The RZT SX mowers are available in different size widths from 42 on up to 54 inch mowing widths. The Cub Cadet RZT SX 50 inch is powered by Cub Cadet’s EFI, electronic fuel injection, engine and is a Cub Cadet engine designed for their products. The EFI is an excellent option because the electronic fuel injection eliminates the need for a choke for starting and is also much better in cold weather starts. It gives you better fuel economy, more consistent power, and a higher torque curve than a conventional carburetor engine. It’s a great step up and you’ll start to see this engine on not only the RZT SX 50 but on many of the Cub Cadet lawn tractors as well.
