Buyer’s Guide to John Deere X300 Series Lawn Tractors

Founded in 1837, John Deere has become a household name for property owners, farmers, and outdoor specialists all over the world. Catering to both homeowners and professionals, Weingartz carries a wide selection of John Deere riding lawn mowers, attachments and parts for all of your lawn care needs.

The John Deere X300 series lawn tractors are a step up from John Deere’s base series, their E series tractors. Some of the big features and big advantages you get with the X300 series are a much heavier structural frame. This is a frame you typically find on a garden tractor. The heavier structural frame gives you more support if you’re going to add attachments like a snow blade or a snow blower, and just gives you much longer life.

The John Deere X300 series lawn tractors have Kawasaki engines, the premium engine over what’s available in the E series. These tractors also have upgraded steering components, improved tread pattern, as well as higher durability front and rear tires. This is really the premium in lawn tractors.

John Deere X300 series lawn tractors have much nicer, more comfortable seats that are available in a wide range of deck size from 42 and 48 inch to a 54-inch deck. The horsepower also increases as you move up in the deck size in the X300 series.

All the John Deere X300 series lawn tractors have the height of cut dial right in the center, making it very easy to access and see what mowing heights you’re at. The seat slides so you can move the seat back and forth for operator comfort. It also slides backward for taller operators and moves you up higher to give you a little bit more leg room.

The John Deere 2 pedal foot control hydrostat is available in all the John Deere X300 series lawn tractors. There is a very easy to follow control panel that’s color-coded and, depending on the model, some tractors have hydraulic lift instead of a mechanical lift.

Another nice option available on some John Deere X300 series lawn tractors is a four-wheel steering option. With the four-wheel steering your back wheels will turn so it gives you exceptional maneuverability, almost that of what you find in a zero turn rider. If you want a conventional lawn tractor but want the zero turn maneuverability these tractors are a nice option. John Deere has had this available for a long time. John Deere X300 series lawn tractors are simple, easy to operate machines and they have a very durable design.
