General Information on Store: After operating a successful single-store operation for 48 years, Ray Weingartz Jr. saw the opportunity to expand the horizons of the business to another location. So, in 1993, he put everything at risk and opened our second location, moving to the western suburbs in Farmington Hills. The vision for this store was to take the same personal service model that had been successful for decades in Utica and put it into a large, state-of-the art facility to make a power equipment superstore. His son, Ron Weingartz, moved his family to the area and got the new venture off the ground. The communities in Oakland, Wayne and Livingston counties were exceptionally supportive of this new business and the store was an immediate success. While the business started in Utica, the success of the Farmington Hills store is really what created the springboard for future growth.
